Toon Walk - 9th Nov

Grab your space boots, it’s time to take a Toon Walk on Tyneside. We are taking over Newcastle on Saturday November 9th and sprinkling our biggest, bestest beers among the city’s greatest pubs: 7 supreme venues, 34 beers, 2 total Tap Takeovers, and just a 24 minute walk between them all!

Our Sales Supremo Sophie has brought this mega-cask event into fruition, partnering with Sir John Fitzgeralds & Crafted Project to weave together 7 of Newcastle’s most renowned and historic venues to form a constellation route. 

As it’s a special occasion we have obviously pulled out all the stops to curate a beer list that is laden with one off casks, event exclusives, rare pours, last chance beers, first chance beers, and plenty of very special beers. The taps of Newcastle will be glowing with everything from our Barrel Aged Imperial Stouts, to lagers, to sours in cask, to hazy IPAs, and a specially brewed beer that will launch on the day.

Toon Walk is the first chance for anyone to taste “Tyne & Space”, a triple hopped pale ale with Topaz, Citra, and of course for an event that spans them all - Galaxy. We came up with this beer in collaboration with our event partners SJF and Crafted Projects, and it will be pouring across every venue on this star-studded trail.

It's a totally free event where there is guaranteed to be a beer somewhere in space for everyone, and the trail can be done at whatever pace, in whatever order, at whatever time you like. Stamp booklets will be available for those Galaxy-hoppers who have a drink in every pub, with a nice treat to collect when you complete all seven venues.

If you would rather have a guiding star to lead you from bar to bar, Sophie and John from SJF will be leading a lunchtime tour. Starting at 12:30 from the Bodega and weaving across each venue, this ticket-only wandering includes not just a personal chaperone to take you between each pub, you’ll also get stories from two of the North East’s beer big-hitters, and a measure of Tyne & Space Pale Ale in every place.
